Notable Volunteers
We were honored on Mother's Day 2019 to have Laura Stoner, Alison Vrba, and Susan Taylor recognized by Como Lions Heart as a mother/daughter trio for their dedication to the DFW Birthday Brigade.
This was a wonderful tribute, as these three ladies have honored other mothers and daughters with their service in the community. Laura instilled in her daughters a passion for hard work and a heart that could serve so many people. These wonderful women also volunteered at Cook Children’s when they were in high school and are always ready for an oppurtunity to give to others. They pay it forward through kind smiles and hard work. Laura has the biggest heart and clearly Alison and Susan have inherited it. We are grateful they are an integral part of our program, providing party favors for every child who attends.
Recognition in the Community
Suzy Gardner was recognized by Como Lions Heart with an "Angel on Assignment" award! This award is given to individuals who show continuous dedication and service in recognizing that children are a gift from above. The people recognized as an Angel on Assignment share unending, never tiring strength and love from heavenly places.

Suzy founded the DFW Birthday Brigade as a project of passion for the unsheltered children of Tarrant County. She sits as the Chair of the Board of Directors, spending countless hours organizing and executing parties for Tarrant County youth. Suzy has the biggest heart, and you can't help but smile when you're with her because that passion and love is down right contagious! We are so proud of Suzy, and so grateful for all that she does to make this happen. Congratulations Suzy!
