Fort Worth Police Department Homelessness / Community Relations Liaison and Principle in Cowtown Project Success, a program that mentors unsheltered youth so they can break the cycle of displacement by providing a creative outlet through art. They provide support by attending and further connecting with the children some of whom they see in their own program.

Laurie Walterscheid, along with the Common Threads Quilt Guild and Bailey's Quilting Bees & its many dedicated quilters provides a pillow and beautiful custom-made pillowcase for each birthday child. When the women and children are given shelter they are provided with a bed, but no pillow, so this is a much-appreciated gift.
